The single primordial objective of the Sustainable Livestock Foundation is to enable peasants especially Women who have proven beyond reasonable doubts to be the bread winners of their families and the main suppliers of the food in Cameroon learn skills and knowledge as well as acquire basic improved inputs that will improve their lives sustainably . This objective is achievable first by building the capacities of the target group to be able to sustainably reduce poverty by raising family incomes; secondly to promote and support basic socio economic activities and lastly to inculcate in them a strong sense of the management of scarce resources.

Identifiable felt needs are vividly expressed by potential beneficiaries. The beneficiary – driven participatory approach is adapted and effectively applied. All actions must be participatory and bottom- up. SLF, acting as the facilitator, supports participants to identify and classify problems; solutions are formulated and applied by participants; participants together with technical staff of SLF evaluate results, filter them and reapply weighted solutions.
